They Never Saw It Coming
In our service tomorrow, Pastor Mike will be preaching a message entitled, “They Never Saw It Coming,” from
Luke 19:41-42.
What happens when the King stands right in front of His people, and they still don’t recognize Him? Why would Jesus, knowing exactly what lay ahead, weep over Jerusalem? And how is it possible that the very things that make for peace could be present… and yet remain hidden?
In this passage, we are confronted with the sobering reality of spiritual blindness, the weight of rejecting Christ, and the mystery of a God who both reveals and conceals according to His perfect purposes. Yet even in judgment, we see something striking, the heart of Christ is not distant or indifferent, but full of compassion toward those who do not see.
