The Bible Is: |
- The verbally-inspired Word of God
- The final authority for faith and life
- Inerrant in the original writings
- Infallible and God-breathed
|
God Is: |
One Triune God, eternally existing in three Persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- Co-eternal in being
- Co-identical in nature
- Co-equal in power and glory
- Having the same attributes and perfections
|
The Person
of Christ |
The eternal Son of God
- Became man, without ceasing to be God
- Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary
- Reveals God and redeems sinful men
|
The
Work
of Christ |
His death on the cross
- Was a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice
- Accomplished our redemption
His resurrection from the dead
- Seals our justification
- Literal, physical
His ascension to heaven
- He is now exalted at the right hand of God
- He is our High Priest
- He fulfills the minstry of Representative, Intercessor,
and Advocate
|
Christ's Return |
- Christ will soon personally return to earth to receive His
redeemed ones before the tribulation
- Following the tribulation, he will return to earth with his
saints to esablish His Millennial Kingdom
|
The Person
and Work
of the
Holy Spirit |
- Convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement
- The supernatural Agent in regeneration
- Baptizes all believers into the Body of Christ
- Indwells and seals them unto the day of redemption
- Guides believers into all truth
|
The Total
Depravity
of Man |
- Man was created in the image of God
- Adam's sin caused mankind to inherit a sinful nature
and
become alienated from God
- Man is totally depraved and, of himself, unable to remedy
his lost condition
|
Salvation |
- The gift of God
- Brought to man by grace
- Received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose
blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.
|
Eternal Security |
- Once saved, the redeemed are kept by God's power
- They are secure in Christ forever
- Believers can rejoice in the assurance of salvation through
the testimony of God's Word
|
The Believer's
Two Natures |
- Every saved person posseses two natures, an old, sinful
nature, and a new, Christ-like nature
- The old nature can never be fully eradicated in this life
- Believers can have victory over the old nature through the
power of the Holy Spirit
|
Separation |
- Believers should not bring reproach to their Savior through
their lives
- God commands separation from religious apostasy, worldly
and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations
|
Missions |
- Believers are obligated to witness by life and by word to the
truths of the Bible
- God commands believers to proclaim the Gospel to mankind
|
Spiritual
Gifts |
- God sovereignly gives believers today the gifts of evangelists,
pastors, and teachers
- The gifts of tongues and sign miracles gradually ceased as
the New Testament Scriptures were completed
- God hears and answers the prayer of faith, healing according
to His own will
|
The Church |
- Is composed of all believers of this present age
- Is the body and bride of Christ
- The establishment and continuance of local churches is
taught and defined in the New Testament
- The church should be free of external control, autonomous
- The ordinances of water-immersion baptism and the Lord's
supper are means of testimony for the church
|
Dispensations |
- Are revealed through the natural, literal interpretation of
the Scripture
- Are rules of life which define man's responsibilities in
different ages
- Are not ways of salvation, but are divinely ordered
stewardships by which God directs man
- The age of law, the age of the church, and the millennial
kingdom are revealed in Scripture
|
Satan is: |
- A person, who is the author of sin and the cause of the fall
- The declared enemy of God and man
- Destined for punishment in the Lake of Fire
|
The Eternal
State |
- All men will be raised bodily from the dead
- The saved are resurrected to eternal life
- The unsaved are resurrected to everlasting punishment
- Redeemed souls are, at death,
present with the Lord,
consciously
awaiting the second resurrection
- The souls of unbelievers remain, after death, in conscious
misery until the second resurrection
- The second resurrection re-unites all souls with their bodies,
with believers being glorified forever with God, and
unbelievers being tormented forever in the Lake of Fire

Movements
Contrary to
Biblical Faith |
- Ecumenism--a movement seeking to unite all religions
- Ecumenical Evangelism--promoting the Gospel by bringing
fundamentalists into an unequal yoke with apostate churches
- Neo-orthodoxy--a movement that accepts religious experience
as the criterion for truth
- New Evangelism--a movement that emphasizes the social gospel and espouses weak or unclear doctrine
